About this tour
Two museums, one day, and the heart of the Renaissance. Start at the Galleria dell’Accademia, home to Michelangelo’s David, carved between 1501 and 1504 from a single block of marble. Seeing it in person, more than five metres tall, is very different from any photograph.
Then continue to the Uffizi Gallery, built for the Medici family and now one of the greatest art collections in the world. Your guide leads you to Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, and to works by Leonardo, Raphael and Caravaggio.
